After spending six innings behind 2-0 against UCLA, Fresno State lost to the Bruins of Los Angeles, eliminating them in the NCAA tournament.

It was all down hill for Fresno State’s Greg Gonzalez. In his first loss the entire 2011 season, Gonzalez felt the ripple effect of off-location pitching and a sorry defense during the Bulldogs’ first post-season loss to UC Irvine in the opening game of the NCAA Los Angeles Regional at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Westwood.
