Netflix separates streaming and DVD service, renames DVD service Qwikster

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings announced that the company’s lack of communication with customers regarding a rate hike, warranted a need to reevaluate the company’s services. To that end, Hastings announced that Netflix would separate its online streaming and DVD mailing services and rebrand the latter as Qwikster. Setting aside the newest announcement from the recently flailing company, we’re still trying to figure out why they announced this at 9 p.m.

Former Grizzly Bond makes big league debut in Moneyball

Former Grizzly Casey Bond is making his big screen debut in the Brad Pitt flick Moneyball about Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane and his pioneering of Sabermetrics in a major league club. Bond played one game in the Grizzlies’ Black and Orange before being let go by the Giants.

FOX NEWS: With Great Ratings come Higher Preference

With high ratings comes high preference. And that’s the luxury of Fox News. As CNN and MSNBC try to figure out how to address News Corp’s continually popular network, FNC just got some positive reinforcement: 36% of Americans prefer Fox News over 27% for CNN and 16% for MSNBC.
