No-K Zone: Undervalued Christian gets a shot in the Bigs
In our season review, we said that Justin Christian had vaulted himself out of obscurity and into a role as one of the Fresno Grizzlies’ top offense men in the lineup.
Now, the undervalued Christian is headed to the Major Leagues after the San Francisco Giants purchased Christian’s contract, making him likely the last September roster move of the year.
The Giants’ addition of Christian makes him seventh current season Grizzly who has been called up by the Giants since August 31. Christian is also in the likes of fellow former Grizzly Brett Pill, who’s contract was recently purchased in August.
Some wondered if Marc Kroon would be in Christian’s position. However, the Giants’ will move with young up-and-comer Christian should prepare the way for more playing time for the more-than-worthy player.
